WE HAVE A DIFFERENT BUSINESS MODEL and some amazing perks that we think makes Oddica the best place for T-shirt Artists, bar none.

• No Work-for-Hire, no Spec Work, and no Public Voting. We are Licensing your Artwork, for specific uses only, and we are working on a Commission Model.
• Artists will share in 41 percent of Oddica's Net Profit annually and receive Royalties, in perpetuity. (see below for more details).
• Artists will share in 41 percent of Oddica's company Equity, which means that if Oddica were to ever be sold, the Artists would share in 41 percent of the sale after repayment of initial capital contributions.
• Artists will receive $500 for each commissioned Design. ($250 up front, and $250 when you finish, unless the Design happens to be pre-existing. Immediate PayPal payments are an option, too. (Oddica will pay the PayPal fee.)
• Artists will receive an additional $500 for every Reprint. Three Reprints of a single Design, for example, would result in an additional $1,500.
• Artists will receive 12 shirts that feature their own Design.
• Artists will receive 50 buttons of their own Design.
• Artists will receive 2 other Oddica shirts for every Design they do.
• Oddica will file a copyright, on your behalf, for each Design you do.
• Artists will have up to 8 spot colors + the T-shirt color, if necessary.
• Your Design will be printed with water-based ink (for a soft touch) on super-soft American Apparel T-shirts.
• Each Artist will eventually be the subject of a mini-profile and a Q and A, to be featured on the Oddica site.
• Artists may have other opportunities, including possible inclusion in an Annual Art Show, an Annual Calendar, and lots of other stuff that we are not ready to reveal just yet.
  

MORE ABOUT THE 41 PERCENT

Once you are IN as an Artist, you will receive lifetime Royalties for the Design(s) you do, as long as Oddica exists and makes a Profit. So if you do a design in 2006, you'd get Royalties on that design in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, etc.. We've structured the Artists Royalty Pool in such a way that Artists essentially have stock in the company, their annual Royalty tied directly to Oddica's growth.

It's a simple Formula:

If you have a successful Design, you are rewarded with $500 for each Reprint, and you get another Design spot in the Pool.

We have a great cross-section of Artists right now, Artists who are actively adding to our library of Designs, so we are being very selective in who comes aboard. If you'd like the opportunity, you can email us a link to your work or your portfolio and we will get back to you.

If you have a single, pre-existing piece in your portfolio that you think would make a good T-shirt design, you may upload it and send us the link. Please do not create spec work for us. Please do not send attachments. And please do not send us work that has been voted on at any of the voting sites. We will not take anything that has been up for voting, in fairness to those sites.
